USCIS Medical Exams

Welcome to Lumberton Internal Medicine Group!

We understand that getting your medical exams and tests done can sometimes be a hassle, which is why we’re thrilled to offer an in-house phlebotomist. Say goodbye to long waits and the need to book appointments at outside labs! With us, you can conveniently get your blood work, urine tests here in our clinic—fast and efficiently.

Our process is designed to make your experience as smooth as possible. Once we collect your samples, we submit everything to the lab immediately for quicker results. As part of the immigration medical examination, you will need to meet with our certified civil surgeon, provide blood and urine samples, and receive vaccinations if you don’t have proof of prior vaccinations.

The examination also includes digital preparation of the Form I-693, a thorough review of your documents (including your vaccine records), and the consultation with our immigration certified doctor. If any vaccines are missing, we’ll provide you with a prescription that you can take to any pharmacy you choose. And if you have vaccine records from your home country, we’ll gladly review them to help you save on extra costs. Just keep in mind that some vaccines do expire, and you may need to get them again, even if you’ve had them before.

We’re here to assist you in verifying your vaccine information through the NC Immunization Registry portal at no additional charge, which ensures you won’t incur unnecessary vaccine costs for those done in North Carolina.

Now, you may be wondering how long this process takes. Typically, you’ll need to visit us at least twice: once for paperwork, sample collection, and your doctor visit, and a second time to sign and pick up your paperwork. If your lab results come back normal and we have all the necessary vaccine records, we deliver the sealed envelope in just 5-7 days!

However, some patients may need an additional chest x-ray or treatment if their tests show positive results, which could delay the process.

At Lumberton Internal Medicine Group, we pride ourselves on offering affordable prices, same-day appointments, and bilingual services in Spanish and Creole-French. We specialize in completing USCIS Form I-693 and Form N-648 for those seeking U.S. residency and citizenship.
